Title: Beautiful Poison

Artist: Taylor Munday

Story: Poison is defined as a substance that can cause illness or death to a living organism when introduced to it. I was attracted to the saying “pick your poison” as it can cause you to let your guard down when something is beautiful. Poisons exist in nature and are also man-made. It is not inherently evil, but we have the capacity to help or harm.

As a member of community, I wanted to highlight the complex nature of substances and society. Some substances are accepted whilst others are not. I also wanted to display is dichotomy with the fonts I used for both words to strengthen this idea of push and pull.

So, pick this poison because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
