Title: Poetry Penned in 1992

Story: Years ago, the gym culture in Canberra, approximately 33 young men in Canberra used the aid of “horse steroids” to gain muscle mass. The horse steroids would be injected into the fleshy part of their buttocks as part of their training program.

I would administer these injections for my partner at the time. I did it as part of caring for them. A little later, I then learnt I was injecting horse steroids.

I promptly told him, I would no longer help him with the injections after discovering what it was.

He asked “Why?”.

I simply stated that his genitals have shrunk since he started this dangerous practice.
